On around September 27th, Google launched what’s being called 2.5 of its Panda algorithm. On October 5th, Google’s Matt Cutts tweeted:
“Weather report: expect some Panda-related flux in the next few weeks, but will have less impact than previous updates (~2%).”
Panda-related flux? Indeed, this seems to be the case, with site owners reporting Panda-related changes on at least October 3rd and October 13th. In several cases, I saw sites with Google organic traffic declines on 9/27, recovery on 10/3, and decline again on 10/13.

I’ve been noticing some recent “flux” but not sure if it was from pre-Panda 2.5, Panda 2.5, or post 2.5, or something else.
Has there been any corroboration or general agreement that Panda “flux” is really limited to ~2%?
Any “weather reports” since 10/5?
The misleading thing about the 2% is that if your site is impacted, you’ll see significantly more than a 2% impact in your traffic. If you experienced a large traffic change between 9/27 and mid-October, it’s possible it was due to Panda changes. (Although of course it’s possibly due to something else.)
