Sphinning in Vegas by Vanessa Fox

How was Pubcon, you ask?

Well, Danny found that Sphinn has made its way to Vegas:

Danny's Sphin(n)

Matt Cutts and I talked with Mike McDonald from WebProNews while at the pub. SEOHack, is this what you meant by mom and dad getting back together? (Sorry, Syzlak, I was confused by you getting a haircut. ;) )

And Greg and I had Nate Buggia from Microsoft’s Webmaster Center on GoodKarma (live! from Vegas!) to talk about the recent issues with MSNbot’s cloaking detection gone awry.

Believe it or not, I didn’t gamble even once. Not even to play craps.

The blog about mom and dad getting back together is well, well, worth the read. I mean Matt Cutts in . . . oh, I won’t ruin the linkbait. Just go read it.

As for you Vanessa . . . if you didn’t gamble that means you were doing something even more evil in Las Vegas. What is your vice? Readers want to know.

I totally want to use this for the 404 page at Sphinn, ’cause I like the “temporarily out of service” message on the slot machine.

also the fact that the progressive is $0.00 is funny. @Danny was this pic taken before or after SES? Did you take the top secret SMX super jet to Vegas?

Ha, I walked by that machine at the Monte Carlo and thought it said Sphinn at first glance. Time for a vacation. :)

Sigh. Here I see my name in lights, yet you linked to my friend’s blog and not mine :(

Oh, and we’re not the same person…I don’t smell that bad.

    Sorry Syzlak!

Oh BDP, I was hoping no one would realize that… ;)

Michael, the pic was taken after the “pubcon” day of pubcon — after SES.

That’s exactly what I was talking about! Now you’ve gone and broke all their little hearts, Vanessa. They’re going to be looking at that video, watching it over and over, hoping to see a glint of the former love that once brought mom and dad together and hope that maybe, it’ll spark one more time. but it won’t, no matter how many times they watch it. No matter how many tears they cry. No matter what their hopes and dreams are they will never become reality. And the video plays. And Matt laughs and you smile. But their little hearts break. Vanessa is not going back to Google.

    Or something like that. =)
