Can you submit sitemaps for audio? No, at least not in the same way as a video sitemap, but hopefully sometime in the future. In the mean time, there are a few things you can do to optimize your audio:
1. transcribe the audio
2. have a descriptive title
3. unique URLs for each clip
4. have a text description

Transcribing Podcasts

Will a 403 response (usually used for authorization and passwords) prevent me from being indexed? Yes, but a better way to do this is through robots files. Vanessa explains why.

What the best method to deliver flash content to search engines?
Vanessa has lots of resource for Flash and Search Engines at janeandrobot.com/resources
Currently only Google can crawl Flash, and even they can’t do it very well yet. Is Flash really what you have to use? Can you use css instead? If not, use a progressive enhancement to extract the text. You can use sIFR for this.

Vanessa dives into Oddball.com for a site review. Oddball is having a problem ranking for “large shoes” or “big shoes” even though they used to, and which are their specialty. Vanessa offers some possible reasons for this.

Matt Cutts suggests using other methods for using -90000 as text for accessibility, but what are they? Vanessa offers up some other methods.
