A real question regarding the 302 sword post – I was using rewriterule in .htaccess to show se friendly urls, but it after and accidental deleting I haven’t put them back in yet, would using 301’s be more effective or less tedious than the rewrites and how do the bots feel about them?

OK, so Microsoft has searchification, but you have to go to Ask to get getification, so that’s not very impressive. What’s the point of searchofying when it doesn’t lead to getofying?

By the way, don’t you think “getification” sounds a bit too much like the opposite of “gentrification”?

Barry, you should be able to do a 301/rewrite combination with your htaccess file. You can add something like this to the end of the rule:
[R=301,L]
